12 filmmakers pile on top of each other at ‘ABCs of Death’ TIFF 2012 premiere

Twelve filmmakers risked their necks at the premiere of "The ABCs of Death" last night.

To promote the Midnight Madness screening of the TIFF horror, which is made up of 26 chapters devoted to different methods of dying, directors like Adam Wingard, Canadian Kaare Andrews and Spain's Nacho Vigalondo piled on top of each other to create a human pyramid before falling into a pile on the floor after the photo was taken.

Twenty-six directors from 15 countries contributed to the film, with fans voting for the director for the letter T, British filmmaker Lee Hardcastle, who contributed the stop-motion short, "T is for Toilet." He and ten other filmmakers took the stage in the Ryerson Theater before celebrating in one of their hotel rooms.

This isn't the first time that a huge group of people have stormed a TIFF stage this year. Sarah Polley invited her entire family onto the stage at the premiere of her documentary, "Stories We Tell," last week.
