Zendaya blew Twitter up after she posted the first photo from the movie, Malcolm & Marie, featuring co-star John David Washington.

According to Deadline, "Filming for Malcolm & Marie took place between June 17-July 2 at the Caterpillar House, an environmentally conscious glass architectural marvel in Carmel, CA – all compliant with WGA, DGA and SAG-AFTRA approvals and COVID-19 safety protocols."

The cast and crew had to follow a strict set of guidelines including actors having to mic themselves and handle their own costumes while the set was limited to only 12 people. A separate ranch was used to hold everyone and keep all cast and crew quarantined together throughout the shoot.

Deadline also reports that Zendaya approached Euphoria creator Sam Levinson for a new film after production on the hit HBO series was paused due to COVID-19. He ended up writing the script in six days. Details about the film are still under wraps, but is said to have "some echoes of Netflix’s Marriage Story, while resonating a number of social themes that the world is experiencing right now."

There's no word on when production on Euphoria will restart, however, with production starting up again in California and Canada, there's no doubt that Levinson and Zendaya will be back on set together soon.

A release date for the film hasn't been announced yet.
