NEW YORK (AP) _ XCel Brands Inc. (XELB) on Monday reported a loss of $2.5 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 13 cents. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 8 cents per share.
The brand management company posted revenue of $7.8 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company's shares hit $1.99. A year ago, they were trading at 69 cents.
