Yahoo Movies X-Men star Alexandra Shipp is "not interested" in MCU return
It seems that Alexandra Shipp won't reprise the role of Storm in future MCU instalments as she admitted she's "at a different place" in her life.
The Barbie star first played the superhero (alias of Ororo Munroe) in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse, returning for a cameo in Deadpool 2 and last appearing in the role in 2019's Dark Phoenix.
Speaking about the possibility of popping up in another Marvel adventure, Shipp candidly replied: "No, I'm not interested."

"What I love about the career that I've been able to form is that I can play many different things," she told ET online.
"At this point, I feel like I've done what I needed to do with Storm and I feel that there are other women who can take on that role and really kill it and I support that," she added.
"But for me, I just feel like I'm at a different place in my life."

Shipp then listed some of her favourite performances so far, revealing that she's unlikely to go back to a role and prefers keeping things fresh.
"I've played a superhero, I've played a serial killer [in Asking For It], I've played a hot lesbian getting married to a beautiful woman [in Anyone But You]," she said.
"I've played different roles and I think that's why I love film so much cause I get to change my mask, and I get to change what I do, and when I've done it, I've done it."
Among Shipp's most recent projects is Kung Fury 2, a sequel to 2015's comedy martial arts featurette written and directed by David Sandberg, who stars in the titular role.
The follow-up also features Michael Fassbender, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ralf Moeller and Jorma Taccone. Originally slated for release last November, the film has been caught up in development hell and is yet to announce a new release date.
