After WrestleMania cameos, social media star Logan Paul signs pro wrestling deal with WWE

Logan Paul's foray into pro wrestling just became a more permanent one.

Paul, the social media star and celebrity boxer who has appeared in recent WWE events, announced Thursday that he has signed with the company, though he did not indicate what the terms of the agreement were or what his role would be.

He made the announcement in a post to his Twitter account and posted a pair of photos of him signing the contract alongside former WWE wrestler and executive vice president of global talent strategy and development for the brand Triple H and interim CEO Stephanie McMahon.

According to ESPN, the contract is a multi-year deal that will extend into 2023 in which Paul will participate in multiple WWE premium live events. He will also appear on broadcasts between competitions, per ESPN.

Paul, 27, had appeared in a cameo capacity at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas in April, in which he paired up with The Miz to pull out a tag team victory against father-son duo of Rey and Dominik Mysterio. The Miz wound up getting the win for the duo, but Paul had some bright moments after some early botches.

The year before, at WrestleMania 37, Paul also made an appearance, though he did not compete in the ring. In that appearance, Kevin Owens gave Paul a stunner that made for a viral moment.

Paul has also appeared in several celebrity boxing matches, including one in which he held his own in an exhibition against Floyd Mayweather in June 2021 in which there was no official scoring. The match, which was broadcast on Showtime, sold 1 million pay-per-view buys, and demand crashed the network's servers.
