World Series: Sports world reacts to Astros win on Twitter

For the first time in franchise history, the Houston Astros are world champions after defeating the Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series, 5-1.

With their city, and Twitter, behind them the world reacted and celebrated with the ‘Stros.

J.J. Watt, who threw out the first pitch on crutches in Houston, gave support to Houston.


The Beard also chimed after attending a few Astros games during the playoffs with Houston Rockets teammate Chris Paul.


USA gymnast Simone Biles also shared her love on Twitter. A couple of times.



She also retweeted herself from Oct. 25.


And former Houston Rockets big man gave a shout out to his former city, where he played from 2002-2011.


Along with Watt, a lot of other NFL players repped for Houston.




Even Wade Phillips got into the action with his Bitmoji.


And in a classy move, the Detroit Tigers congratulated their former ace Justin Verlander, who played in Detroit from 2005-2017 before getting traded to Houston at the MLB deadline.
