Wonder Woman Gets Its First Official Trailer

It’s official – the first ‘Wonder Woman’ trailer is here.

After debuting at San Diego Comic Con, the first ‘Wonder Woman’ trailer has appeared online… and it’s absolutely glorious.

Starring Gal Gadot as the iconic DC superheroine, ‘Wonder Woman’ takes us back to the Amazonian’s origins. And when Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) washes up on the isle of Themyscira, it’s clear that things will never be the same again.

After her appearance in ‘Batman V Superman’ it looks as though Wonder Woman is kicking it up a notch for her own solo movie.

We get the brightly coloured costume, sword and shield… but most importantly, we finally get a glimpse at the hugely impressive Lasso of Truth. The only thing missing is the Invisible Jet – which we’re assured won’t be in the movie.

Even if we wouldn’t see it anyway…

But what’s ‘Wonder Woman’ all about?

Following the arrival of Steve Trevor during the events of World War I, it looks as though Diana Prince – who leads a sheltered island life on Themyscira – is encouraged into action. Leaving the island behind, she sets off into the outside world in an attempt to put things right.

But can this super-powered demigoddess really save the world?

Visually, the ‘Wonder Woman’ trailer is absolutely stunning, and gives us a welcome splash of colour in the gritty DC universe. The effects are amazing, and the slow-motion shot of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman leaping into action is just perfect.

After an incredible performance in ‘Batman V Superman’, Gal Gadot continues to impress.

In fact, ‘Wonder Woman’ is swiftly becoming one of our most anticipated films of 2017.

‘Wonder Woman’ stars Gal Gadot, Chis Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Lisa Loven Kongsli and Lucy Davis.

Patty Jenkins directed the film, based on a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns.

‘Wonder Woman’ heads to cinemas on 2 June 2017.
