Police have released a photo of a woman in the hope of identifying her after a serious assault on a bus in Sidcup.

A bus driver and a woman were assaulted after a group of young people reportedly boarded the bus on Sidcup High Street about 10.30pm on August 27 last year.

The group began causing disorder and a woman was assaulted.

The bus driver of the 229 bus was also assaulted as he tried to intervene, Met Police said.

The Met have released an image of a woman they hope to identify, and are appealing to the public for more information.

"Tackling violence is a top priority for the Met and nobody should have to suffer such an ordeal whilst going about their own business,” said Detective Superintendent Michael Dougall.

Anyone who recognises the woman, or has any information, is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 7562/27AUG21. To remain anonymous, anyone can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
