A woman claims she discovered her fiancé had been cheating on her in an unusual way — through her blocked contacts on Instagram.

In this case, TikTok user Gabrielle Marcellus (@gabby_marcellus) said in a TikTok that she’ll “never forget” the day in 2019 when she decided to look at her blocked list on Instagram.
“What did I find? A random girl,” she continued. “What did we have in common? My boyfriend.”
Marcellus said she’d never seen the girl before so it was unlikely that she had blocked her, but she took a guess as to who did. Allegedly, her fiancé had logged into her account and blocked the girl because Marcellus was posting photos of the two of them and he didn’t want the other woman to know.
“He also put my account on private,” she claimed.
To make matters worse, Marcellus had just traveled to England from the U.S. to spend six weeks with her future husband when she checked her blocked list. It was only a few days before she was supposed to go home when she learned about the apparent infidelity.
In a follow-up video, Marcellus claimed that when she confronted her ex about the situation he allegedly denied that he did it and instead “insisted” that the other girl was “crazy” and “obsessed with him” and trying to break them up.
“So, in order to protect me and protect him, he had to block her,” Marcellus laughed. “Don’t we love a ‘crazy girl’ story?”
The commenters definitely sided with Marcellus.
“Ohh these men be getting smart though…” one person joked in the comments.
“Girl, trust your gut!” another said.
Unfortunately, it seemed like the sneaky Instagram block wasn’t a new move.
“HA that just happened to me a month ago,” one TikTok user wrote.
“Yep!” a commenter said. “My ex had me blocked on his social accounts that I didn’t know existed.”
