Tickets as well as all-inclusive hospitality packages for the 2023 WM Phoenix Open are now on sale. Like it has three times in the past, the most highly attended golf tournament on the PGA Tour will share top billing with the Super Bowl.

The golf tournament is set for Feb. 9-12 at TPC Scottsdale, with the final round — barring a playoff — scheduled to conclude about 20 minutes before kickoff of Super Bowl LVII in Glendale.

The Phoenix Open and the Super Bowl shared the spotlight in Arizona three previous times: 1996, 2008 and 2015.

Daily general admission tickets are priced the same as a year ago, with Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday going for $50 and Friday and Saturday for $75. The golf course is open Monday and Tuesday for practice rounds and other festivities and admission is free to all those days once again courtesy of the Arizona Ford Dealers "Ford Free Days" promotion.

More big money to charity

The Thunderbirds, the organization that hosts the Phoenix Open, reports that more than $10 million will be awarded to Arizona charities from the 2022 event, marking the fifth time in tournament history the $10 million threshold was achieved.

"Our Arizona communities coming together to promote and rally behind this world-class event means so much to us and the hundreds of charities and non-profit organizations it supports,” said 2022 tournament chairman and current Big Chief of The Thunderbirds Michael Golding.

The Thunderbirds have raised more than $110 million since Waste Management was named title sponsor in 2010.

USGA adds two championships to Arizona

The U.S. Golf Association announced that Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale will host two upcoming USGA Championships, the 2026 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball and the 2029 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball. They will be the 19th and 20th USGA championships staged in Arizona.

Two other USGA events are already on the docket for Arizona: the 2023 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur and the 2025 U.S. Mid-Amateur, both to held at Troon Country Club in Scottsdale.

Desert Mountain previously hosted one other USGA event, the 1999 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur. The last USGA event in Arizona was the 2019 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur at Forest Highlands Golf Club in Flagstaff.

PGA Jr. League Championship returns

There will be 96 boys and girls junior golfers playing on 12 teams in the 2022 National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale.
