Wife kept winning Virginia lottery in ‘demo’ mode — so she decided to play for real

A Virginia woman kept getting lucky when she played the demo games on the Virginia lottery website. She was so lucky that she decided to try her hand at a real game.

“I’m going to put some money on this,” Susan Disse told Virginia lottery officials.

Her luck carried over and Disse was suddenly staring at a $158,570 jackpot win on her screen, according to lottery officials.

Disse told lottery officials she yelled for her husband, who knew she often played demos and reminded her that she hadn’t won any real money.

This time though, Disse’s picks counted.

“I was afraid I would hit something and make it go away,” she told lottery officials, and asked her husband to take the computer from her.

Disse scored her jackpot prize on Sept. 22 in the MONOPOLY Progressive Jackpots game.

“It feels unbelievable, “ she told lottery officials. “Overwhelming.”
