Where to find pickleball games in Wichita

Wichita has dozens of pickleball courts all over town — in public parks, recreation centers, private health clubs, country clubs, housing developments, churches and in the YMCA system.

If you want to get started, open play may be the way to go, experts say. You just show up and wait to be rotated into a game. Pickleball players are by nature welcoming, friendly and ready to help you learn.

Following is a list of courts that offer open play throughout the week. The list is put together and maintained by local pickleball organizers Patti Mackey and Ching Brubaker.

Pickleball courts also are available in Andover, Bel Aire, El Dorado, Goddard, Mulvane, Newton, Park City, Valley Center, Winfield.

People who want to join in or organize their own games are encouraged to visit playtimescheduler.com, which is used by many local pickleballers looking for playmates.
