Where’s the best Tex-Mex food in the Fort Worth area? Here’s a new answer
The best Tex-Mex is in—Sansom Park?!
Hey, Bud! I hear there’s another good Tex-Mex restaurant in Sansom Park?
—Diner at the next table in Old Neighborhood Grill
When somebody asks, “Where’s the best Tex-Mex?” I used to say “the whole 1500 block of North Main Street.” But now, I think I’d say “everywhere in Sansom Park.” Pura Vida, 5103 Azle Ave., is new. But there’s updated decor and a fresh look at timeless El Paseo Mexican Restaurant, 5436 Jacksboro Highway, an all-time Fort Worth favorite. And both restaurants are hustling to match Mezcales Mexican Bar & Grill, 5532 Jacksboro Highway. a very popular restaurant in a former steakhouse.
Pumpkin spice at Dunkin’; Starbucks soon
Hey, Bud! Is it pumpkin spice season yet?
—Unashamed Pumpkin Spice Fan

Cafe Modern for a Fort Worth Friday night
Hey, Bud! We’re in town and looking for a Fort Worth experience. We already went to Reata. Where else on a Friday night?
—Southern California foodie
That’s easy: Cafe Modern, a Wolfgang Puck company restaurant at 3200 Darnell St. in the Modern Art Museum, serves dinner every Friday in the beautiful restaurant overlooking a reflecting pool. There’s a happy hour in the lobby on the first Friday of every month but the bar is open every Friday, too.
