West Ham XI vs Man United: Zouma returns - Starting lineup, team news, injuries and Covid latest

West Ham have both Tomas Soucek and Kurt Zouma back in the side for this afternoon’s Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Soucek has been absent since West Ham’s FA Cup third-round win over Leeds United following a positive test for coronavirus.

Zouma has also suffered a bout of Covid and has not played since picking up a hamstring tendon injury against former club Chelsea in December.

Both returned to training this week.

“We’ve had Covid like all teams and we have injuries as well,” said Moyes, ahead of the game.

“Tomas Soucek came back from Covid, we’re not quite sure yet if he’s ready so we need to try and assess that. Hopefully we’re not too bad and we’ll go there and try to do the best we can.”

Moyes will still be without Said Benrahma following Algeria's exit from the Africa Cup of Nations on Thursday.

Arsenal rushed back Thomas Partey to be involved with just a day between featuring for his country and his club. Partey was sent off late on in defeat to Liverpool and West Ham will not be taking the same risk.
