Divin Mubama has been handed his first West Ham start in the Europa League game at Backa Topola tonight.
It is not known if they have been rested or if they are the unnamed senior players unavailable due to an illness bug that hit the camp ahead of the game.
England forward Bowen has not made the trip to Serbia while recovering from a knee injury as the Hammers look to qualify from Group A with a game to spare.
Michail Antonio is also absent for West Ham, meaning Danny Ings has lost out to academy product Mubama for the starting striker's berth.
Moyes updated fans on his plans for Backa Topola on Wednesday evening, confirming in his pre-match press conference that Bowen hadn't made the journey to Serbia while a couple of other unidentified players will also miss out through illness.
"Jarrod hasn't travelled and we have another couple who have some illness who haven't travelled, but I am not prepared to say who they are," a guarded Moyes said.
