Including cozy socks, a faux leather blazer, and buttery soft pajamas.
Even more exciting than the change of seasons is embarking on my annual fall wardrobe shopping spree. As someone who shops for a living, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get giddy thinking about the new clothing, handbags, and loungewear I get to add to my closet in anticipation of the chillier days ahead.
My first fall haul of the season included eight items from Target that have already made their way onto my favorites list, and they’re all under $35. When investing in practically anything new, I’m an avid review reader and a self-proclaimed ‘trend snob’ (I like to be on par with the latest styles), so I’m able to enthusiastically recommend shopper- and self-loved wardrobe staples, matching pajama sets, and handbags.
Keep scrolling to explore my latest buys from Target, including a buttery soft pajama set, faux leather blazer, cozy boot socks, and my new favorite purse (or, shall I say, purses?). But grab them quickly, as some items are only on sale through September 24.

Stars Above Beautifully Soft Long Sleeve and Pants Pajama Set
As someone who wore old college T-shirts and ragged shorts to bed for years, I’ve learned in my late 20s that there’s nothing more luxurious than a cohesive pajama set. I always scoffed at the idea of a matching set, but why not feel put together even while I’m sleeping? I already owned this buttery soft Stars Above set in the short-sleeve shirt and shorts version and thought it was time to snag it in the fall-ready alternative. I opted for the pink and white striped pattern since the other sets I own from the brand are solid colors. The pajamas have hundreds of glowing five-star reviews, with numerous shoppers calling them “super soft and comfy.”
A New Day Mini Top Handle Crossbody Bag
If there’s one thing to know about me, it’s that my fashion weakness is a killer purse. I love switching up my favorite accessory to coordinate with my outfit. When I stumbled upon this tiny faux crocodile crossbody bag, I had to snag it in the brown color. I recently wore it on a night out in New York City, and my friend was shocked that it was from Target. It holds my wallet, digital camera, AirPods, hand sanitizer, and lip gloss with room to spare. I’m convinced this is the Mary Poppins version of miniature handbags. It has three internal compartments for organizing my belongings and an external compartment where I can easily store my subway card. Plus, it’s versatile enough to wear over my arm, as a crossbody, or as a shoulder bag.
A New Day Relaxed Fit Leather Blazer
I recently stumbled upon this black faux leather blazer and bought it to fill the gap in my closet. I have loads of blazers, but none with a leather-like finish. This polished yet relaxed style is a great alternative to a heavy coat (some weather forecasts don’t call for a down jacket just yet). It’s super soft, easy to layer, and is incredibly flattering. I’m seriously considering grabbing it in the silver color, too, since metallics are everywhere at the moment.
Universal Thread Three-Pack Waffle Crew Socks
It’s officially boot season — arguably the best time of year — and nothing says fall like a heeled bootie paired with a chunky knit sock. I’m drawn to anything in the neutral color family, so these waffle socks were a no-brainer when I saw they were offered in a cream color assortment. At just $8, they were an easy ‘yes’ and have been a useful addition to my footwear lineup. They stay put and add additional thickness for a comfier overall fit when wearing heels.
JoyLab Seamless Strappy Bra
I try not to spend an arm and a leg on sports bras, and after picking up this bra at Target and wearing it to the gym once, I knew it was my new go-to. I ended up ordering it in another color since it supports my bigger bust during high-intensity workouts and runs. I feel secure when wearing it, and shoppers agree, with one saying they’ll “never buy another sports bra again” after trying this “comfortable and stylish” option from JoyLab.
Universal Thread Camera Crossbody Bag
Listen, I told you I had a thing for bags, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. This crossbody camera bag caught my eye at Target.com, where they launched its Build-a-Bag Collection, and I saw the black and white patterned bag paired with a green, braided rope strap. I ended up buying a separate green strap, too, for more styling options. I’ve since received numerous compliments on this handbag, with one person noting that it looks super expensive.
Universal Thread Handbag Strap
I never considered switching out my bag straps to give a pre-existing style in my collection an entirely new look until recently. Owning a variety of strap styles is an easy way to give a bag a fresh feel without having to splurge on an entirely new silhouette. I opted for the neon green strap to pair with my Universal Thread Camera Crossbody in the black and white checker print, and the combo is a welcomed pop of color to my mostly neutral wardrobe.
A New Day Six-Pack Lettuce Edge Ankle Socks
There’s no such thing as owning too many socks, and these simple lettuce-edge ones are perfect for loafers and sneakers. They add flair to my sportier sneakers and look sophisticated and sleek with a classic pair of black loafers. I purchased them in the black, gray, and white colorway to ensure they’d match with any shoe in my closet. One reviewer called them “mega comfy,” while another person wears them to “level up” their work outfits.
Give your fall wardrobe a refresh and shop my favorite eight looks from Target while they’re on sale through September 24.
