What is Tiger about?
Directed by Matthew Heineman (A Private War) and Matthew Hamachek (Amanda Knox), Tiger is a two-part series that follows Tiger Woods’ career, his early life, his personal struggles, and his comeback. The documentary will unpack the events that led to Tiger’s meteoric rise, the impact of his early career, the scandal that shook that career, and his return to the golf course all the way up to his Masters 2019 win. Several interviewees appear in the documentary, including Tiger’s former caddy Steve Williams, his former girlfriend Dina Parr, and more.
The trailer for the documentary features tons of new footage of Tiger’s early life, as well as stories from his friends and colleagues. Part one of the series dropped on January 10th, 2021, and you can view that and the next installment on HBO Max on January 17th, 2021.
