Watch the Trailer for Remastered 'Iron Giant' (Exclusive)

It has been more than 15 years since Brad Bird’s criminally underappreciated The Iron Giant landed in theaters. Now, the adventures of the hulking, misunderstood robot (memorably voiced by Vin Diesel) has been retooled in a “Signature Edition,” complete with two newly added scenes. The film will play in theaters in participating theaters around the country on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. (local time), with encore 12 p.m. noon showings on Oct. 4.

To go along with the revamped version, there’s a new trailer, which you can watch exclusively above.

Written and directed by Bird (The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol), Giant also features the voices of Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick Jr., and Cloris Leachman. Although critically acclaimed at the time, the film got off to a rocky start with a disappointing theatrical run. However, in the years since, Giant has cultivated a passionate following and is considered an animated classic.

Tickets are on sale now, with The Iron Giant: Signature Edition available on digital platforms, including iTunes, this fall.
