Rob Dahm's RX-7 is a staple of Car Internet. The four-rotor swap project is now in its sixth year, and with a recent widebody design introduced at SEMA, it seems it's coming close to an end, as evidenced by Dahm's latest video driving the car on the road for the first time.

Dahm published a video late Tuesday showing him driving the car on roads around his shop, giving us a look at what this impossibly wide, low, and loud car is like on normal streets. Unsurprisingly, it looks a bit ridiculous idling in traffic next to Accords and RAV4s.

Despite the new bodywork and healthy drivetrain, it's clear Dahm's RX-7 is far from finished. The interior is, for the most part, wholly incomplete, with just a seat, a steering wheel, a roll cage, and a shifter in place. There's no bodywork shielding the cabin from the hilariously noisy sequential transmission or differential, meaning Dahm has to wear earplugs while behind the wheel.

We can't wait to see this thing at more events, especially now that the 1000-plus-horsepower drivetrain is pretty much done.
