How to watch Okolie vs Light: Live stream and TV channel for boxing tonight

Lawrence Okolie battles David Light on his long-awaited return to the boxing ring tonight.

It is 13 months now since we last saw ‘The Sauce’ in action, with his laboured and scrappy second defence of the WBO cruiserweight world title against Michal Cieslak followed by an ugly and protracted split from promoters Matchroom and Eddie Hearn.

Now teamed up with Ben Shalom and Boxxer, plus Tyson Fury’s trainer SugarHill Steward, Okolie is re-focused on his plans to become the first undisputed champion at 200lbs since a certain Oleksandr Usyk, whom he would like to emulate by then stepping up to the heavyweight ranks.

Standing in his way now is Light, the undefeated New Zealander who took a silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The 31-year-old has 20 consecutive professional victories to his name with 12 stoppages, though this is a clear step up for the WBO Global, International and Oriental champion, who had to defy a late knockdown to defeat Brandon Glanton on points in Florida back in December.
