Watch Miz Cracker of Drag Race Mesmerizingly Apply Her Full Face of Makeup

Watching pretty much anyone put on makeup is mesmerizing, but if there's any kind of spectacular transformation, it's easy to become transfixed. That's why drag queen makeup videos have been blowing up online lately, both as a form of entertainment and as tutorials. Miz Cracker, a contestant from season 10 of RuPaul's Drag Race, is particularly compelling for her effervescent personality and luscious blonde hair. Watch the video above as she applies her makeup, complete with fabulous chandelier earrings.

First things first: clean the canvas. Miz Cracker always uses 99 percent alcohol to prime her face, creating a smooth base for what's to come. She reveals the whole process takes about an hour and a half while using duct tape to tape her face back before gluing down her natural brows. She offers some wisdom about makeup, here, saying, "If you try to be perfect every step of the way you will never arrive at the end."

Then, she uses a full-coverage foundation on her whole face (including the brows) before contour and highlight. She says it's okay to "start ugly," referring to the harsh contouring colors. Don't be afraid to go strong on the contour and highlight, as the blending powder makes everything softer. After highlighting her nose, Miz Cracker says, "I love makeup because it lets me experiment with a new face," and that's a great way of looking at it.

Throughout the video, she blends everything in a very specific method with a Beautyblender, quipping, "Tiny little circles — just like my personal life." She recommends using a close-up mirror as well as one that's further away while doing makeup so that you can look at proportions as well as detail. She offers another bit of wisdom here for those of us who often fuck up our cat eyes, saying, "You can just dive right in there — people feel like everything that you do in makeup is irrevocable, but it's literally paint, you can wipe it off, so don't get so nervous about it." She then touches up her face with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit.

Then, the especially fun part starts: the eye makeup. As Miz Cracker knows, good eye makeup draws people in, as the eyes are the most expressive part of your face. While perfecting her eyes, Miz Cracker talks about the importance of doing makeup for yourself, saying, "Getting myself in makeup makes me feel beautiful, so do your makeup for yourself in a way that makes you feel beautiful, because real beauty is happiness."
