Watch five-legged cat prance and play in viral TN TikTok. ‘Giving her the best life’

A five-legged cat is stealing millions of hearts on TikTok — and for any skeptics, her owner has the x-rays to prove there’s a real extra limb.

Leggy Lu lives in Nashville with her owner JB Williford and is raising eyebrows on social media. In front of her right back leg is a non-working fifth leg that sticks out, but doesn’t seem to bother Leggy Lu.

“She doesn’t have any muscle control of it, but she still gets around,” Williford said in one video of Leggy Lu strolling through her back yard. “All the joints are fused together and it sticks straight out.”

Another video shows an X-ray of Leggy Lu and the limb abnormally sticking out in the photo.

“She looks like a happy cat,” one viewer said. “Glad to see it isn’t slowing her down. I truly believe animals find the right person to give them the love they deserve.”

Leggy Lu does have a different medical condition, Williford said. “First of all, she has five legs, which is surprisingly the least of her problems,” Lu’s owner wrote in a GoFundMe, which is linked on her TikTok.

Leggy Lu was diagnosed with mammary cancer, has a heart murmur and only one kidney, according to Williford. Her owner asked TikTok to help raise funds for Leggy Lu’s continued care, which she said could cost up to $10,000.

“I knew that I wouldn’t miss the money, but I would definitely miss her,” Williford said about her decision to move forward with treatment. “I knew if I didn’t do everything in my power to save her life, it would always feel like I just let her die without fighting.”

TikTok donations have flooded in and Williford has already raised more than $3,700 for Leggy Lu’s treatment.

“In the five years that I’ve had Lu, I know that she has made so many people happy. She has met hundreds of people, and while they love seeing her strange and miraculous shape, they fall in love even more with her amazing personality,” Williford wrote. “Lu’s spirits remain high. She continues to shuffle around happily and scream at me in the morning when I don’t pick her up quickly enough.”

As Leggy Lu goes through treatment, Williford continues to update TikTok on her antics.

“You’re giving her the best life, I can tell she’s really really loved,” one person said.

“I have a 3-legged white and black cat,” another joked. “My question is: is she willing to share?”
