Watch Dory Find Her Memory in Exclusive Clip From 'Finding Dory'

Finding Dory is primed to make boatloads of cash when it opens in theaters next week; early reports indicate it could even be Pixar’s biggest opening of all time. As we reported after a sneak peek of the first act in April, the first 27 minutes alone are enough to drown you in laughter and tears.

Now, we’ve got an exclusive clip from the opening moments of the sequel to the 2003 favorite Finding Nemo. In the scene, something (we won’t spoil what) has just triggered memories of the long-gone family of the orphaned, forgetful blue tang fish Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres).

She needs to speed, immediately, from the reefs of Australia to the Jewel of Morro Bay, California, much to the chagrin of her neurotic buddy Marlin (Albert Brooks), father of Nemo (Hayden Rolence). They’ll go, of course, but as the title implies, there’s a 110 percent chance of this merry band of travelers breaking up along the way. Question is, will your tear ducts survive the trip?

Finding Dory opens June 17. Watch DeGeneres talk about the film:
