The Washington State University football program was hit with the tragic news that 21-year-old quarterback Tyler Hilinski was found dead of what police say was an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on Tuesday night at his apartment in Pullman, Washington.

Hilinski was a redshirt sophomore who had spent the last three years with the program, during which he clearly had an impact on players, coaches and others associated with the program.

Many took to Twitter to express their feeling and condolences.
