Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 4 game
The Washington Commanders (2-1) handed the Philadelphia Eagles (3-0) their first loss of the season last year.
Can they do it again?
The NFC East foes meet in Week 4 for the first matchup of the 2023 season.
Jalen Hurts has 740 yards and six touchdowns of total offense with three interceptions through three games as he continues his role as Philadelphia's leader. The Eagles have their own Swift-Kelce duo with running back D'Andre Swift and center Jason Kelce.
Sam Howell is in his first season fully at the helm of the Commanders and has 671 passing yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions. Running back Brian Robinson Jr. has added 216 yards and two scores. On the defense, Chase Young has returned and has six tackles and 1.5 sacks in two appearances.
The Eagles and Commanders started 2-0, but had different outcomes in Week 3. Washington fell to the Buffalo Bills 37-3 where Howell threw four of his picks. Philadelphia battled to a 25-11 road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where Hurts threw two interceptions of his own.
Both teams have first-year offensive coordinators. For the Eagles, Brian Johnson seeks to fill in the shoes of Shane Steichen, who's now the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Eric Bienemy hopes to inject the juju to the Commanders that he used to help the Kansas City Chiefs win two Super Bowls in four years.

Lorenzo Reyes: Eagles 28, Commanders 18
Sam Howell had easily his worst game as a pro and was sacked nine times. The bad news? Now he faces one of the most complete defensive lines in the NFL. If the Washington line cannot protect Howell, this one could get ugly.
Tyler Dragon: Eagles 30, Commanders 17
The Commanders came back to reality last week versus the Bills, and they will have another hard dose of reality this week when they face the undefeated Eagles. These two teams play a physical brand of football, but the Eagles have more playmakers on their roster.
Victoria Hernandez: Eagles 28, Commanders 15
The Eagles are at home and feeling good after a primetime win on the road. Philadelphia's offense is balanced and they have playmakers on defense too. Washington got a dose of reality from the Bills last week and won't be able to bounce back just yet.
Jordan Mendoza: Eagles 31, Commanders 19
It’s never fun going against aggressive defenses in back-to-back weeks. Washington got no favors in their schedule, as they struggle against a stout Philadelphia defense while the Eagles offense continues to pick up.
