Warren Beatty denies that he's slept with 12,775 women

Actor and renowned lothario Warren Beatty has scorned the legend that he has slept with 12,775 women.

The 79-year-old star of movies like ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ and ‘Dick Tracy’ denied the claims, while speaking in an interview with AARP magazine, the publication produced by the American Association for Retired People.

That rather astonishing figure has been sloshing around since it was mooted by biographer Peter Biskind in the 2010 book ‘Star: How Warren Beatty Seduced America’.

“Think about it, sleeping with 12,775 people… that would mean not just that there were multiple people a day, but that there was no repetition,” he said.

Of the reputation such talk might bring with it, he added: “Look, I never misled anyone. And…and I’m a nice guy.”

Volume aside, Beatty became known for a series of high-profile relationships during his time in Hollywood.

He went out with the likes of Madonna, Janice Dickson, Diane Keaton and Carly Simon, before marrying Annette Bening in 1992.

Simon confirmed only last year that her track ‘You’re So Vain’ was written about Beatty.
