If there's one thing Post is doing this year, it's giving us something to be thankful for. Since the start of 2021, the brand has delivered new Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles ice cream, a legit Fruity Pebbles cake mix, Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles Crisps, and the re-arrival of Chocolate Honey-Comb in big bite form. Apparently, however, that was just the start of it all. Now, the beloved brand is bringing back another fan-favorite that we're shocked to see back on shelves: Waffle Crisp cereal.

Instagrammer @dadbodsnacks excitedly revealed photos of the classic cereal on Friday, January 15 to their followers and I can totally understand why they felt so much joy about these returning. "WAFFLE CRISP!! The greatest waffle cereal of my childhood has returned to @walmart shelves in large bag form. Yes, I said the greatest, not one of the greatest...the greatest waffle cereal," the caption shared.

Though the cereal's two pound bag offering is one of the changes you can easily notice, according to the Instagram account, a few others things have changed, too. "They did change the recipe slightly, but the taste did not suffer! I’m shocked and VERY happy. The crunch, the maple, the shape, the sweetness...its all there. What has changed is the sugary coating is gone and the texture is not as airy/fluffy as it used to be."

To confirm the cereal's re-arrival, Post also took to their Instagram account to answer a few pending questions from Waffle Crisp fans, including letting everyone know that they absolutely saw the Change.org petitions that went around about bringing the cereal back...all three of them. For those that are unaware, Waffle Crisp cereal initially launched back in 1996—which is really a lifetime ago!— but was taken off shelves in 2018 B.C. (you know, before COVID).

Before running out to grab one of these must have bags though, you'll want to know that they're only exclusive to select Walmart stores and only come in the large, resealable bags. So while you may have to go on a little hunt to find them, if you're a real fan, that won't even be a problem.
