Is voting on your mind?

You still have plenty of opportunities to cast your ballot before primary Election Day on Aug. 23.

You can vote by mail. Or you can go to an early voting center in Miami-Dade or Broward. If you let both go by, you can still vote on Election Day at your designated precinct.

Early voting in Miami-Dade opened Aug, 8 and runs through Aug, 21. Broward early voting runs Aug. 13-21.

Primaries generally have lighter turnouts, and the first day of early voting in Miami-Dade was no different. Poll locations in Doral, Coral Gables and Miami Beach were quiet. You likely won’t have to wait in a line if you choose to vote in person. The light turnout didn’t stop campaigners from holding up their signs outside the polling places.

How to vote early in the Miami-Dade and Broward primaries

Early voting in Miami-Dade runs from Aug. 8-21 in 23 voting sites.

All sites are open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays from Aug. 8-12. On the weekends (Aug. 13-14, Aug. 20-21), those sites will open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. From Aug. 15-19, sites will open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Broward, early voting for the primaries runs from Aug. 13-21. Broward sites will be open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
