Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Tyler Thurston, Cascade: Didn’t miss a shot as he poured in 25 points, four rebounds, eight assists and five steals in 20 minutes in a 79-26 rout of Greenleaf. He also scored 27 points in a 60-21 win at Centennial Baptist.

Cody Luce, Victory Charter: Averaged 16 points in three wins, including 23 points in the championship of the Dietrich Holiday Tournament.

Sawyer Hansen, Eagle: Recorded a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds in a season-opening, 62-52 victory at Bishop Kelly.

Braden Volkers, Melba: Averaged 20.7 points per game to lead the Mustangs to wins over Weiser, Firth and South Fremont.

Jaydin Morin-Bishop, Payette: Scored 26 points in a double-overtime win vs. Burns, Oregon, then added 19 points in a 43-40 victory vs. Nyssa, Oregon.

Luke Starner, Liberty Charter: Recorded a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds in a 54-39 win at Raft River.

Jack Keller, Columbia: Sank 6-of-8 field goals to score 19 points in a 54-49 win vs. Kuna in the Man vs. Wild rivalry game.

Saje Walker, Emmett: Scored 18 points and added five steals to lead the Huskies to a 49-47, double-overtime win at Homedale.
