Volleyball proposal goes horribly wrong before going adorably right
A student volleyball player got the surprise of a lifetime a few weeks ago when her boyfriend proposed to her while she was in the middle of a volleyball game. But things didn’t exactly go as planned.
According to the Daily Mail, Kyle Pierce, a graduate of Concordia University, traveled back to Seward, Nebraska, to propose to his girlfriend, Jenna Eller, just before Halloween. Eller plays on Concordia’s volleyball team, and Pierce decided to surprise her during a game. He had a ring and a volleyball that had “Will you marry me?” written on it, and he was ready to ask her one of the most important questions of their lives.

As with most proposals, Eller wasn’t expecting it. But since Pierce decided to surprise her during a game, she really wasn’t expecting it. She was locked in and completely focused, and she didn’t notice that Pierce had appeared at the edge of the court. She only found out he was there when she went to chase after a ball and literally ran into him, falling to the ground.
She wasn’t hurt, and Pierce quickly pulled her back up, showed her the volleyball and then got down on one knee to pop the question. She said yes, and what looked like a comical accident quickly turned into a sweet and adorable moment. And now they have a doozy of a proposal story to tell for years to come. Congratulations to the happy couple!
