Video: Man rescued from lake then arrested after fleeing from police in Lake Worth

Police from Fort Worth and Lake Worth pulled a man out of a lake Tuesday after he fled from officers trying to arrest him, according to a tweet from Lake Worth Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian.

Manoushagian said the man was wanted on charges related to firearm and vehicle theft. The man was arrested but his name has not been released.

Nobody was hurt during the arrest, according to Manoushagian.

The Lake Worth chief of police tweeted that officers were pursuing the man when they saw him go into the water and then become distressed. The officers used a small boat to reach the man and pull him out of the water before placing him under arrest.
