UTA Names Allan Haldeman Head of Agency’s New York Office

United Talent Agency has appointed veteran literary agent and UTA partner Allan Haldeman as the head of it’s New York office, the company announced Wednesday.

Haldeman began his career with UTA in the mail room and has been with the agency for 18 years, rising to co-head of UTA’s literary department. He will now additionally work to expand opportunities in a fast-growing office critical to UTA’s business and future global potential.

UTA opened its New York office in 2011 with a handful of agents and now boasts 350 employees representing all major categories of UTA’s representation, including film, TV, theatre, publishing, music, marketing, news, fashion and more.

In 2021, UTA acquired strategic advisory firm MediaLink, which also has a significant presence in New York City.

As co-head of UTA’s TV literary department, Haldeman represents a roster of creators, showrunners, actors and directors for a variety of TV series and has been instrumental in several growth initiatives that cross practices and teams at UTA.
