'This Is Us' Fans, Dan Fogelman Hinted at a Possible Spinoff About the Pearsons

**Spoilers ahead!**

Keep the tissues coming. Tuesday night brought an emotional end to the six-season run of This Is Us. Though it tied a satisfying, tear-stained bow around the beloved NBC drama, fans can't cope with the news just yet. What's more, there may be hope to hold on to of seeing the Pearsons' story live on.

By the end of the This Is Us season 6 finale, the Big Three's stories came full circle — Kevin (Justin Hartley), once an immature actor, settles into an enduring relationship and takes care of Rebecca in her final decade, Kate (Chrissy Metz), introduced as an insecure dreamer, triumphs over tragedy and Randall (Sterling K. Brown), a Black man adopted into the white Pearson family as a baby, mourns his mother while awaiting the birth of his grandchild from his adopted daughter.

Unsurprisingly, fans are pleading for more, namely a This Is Us season 7. “Wasn’t long enough 😭😭😭 Need more Pearsons,” one person wrote on Instagram. “NEW SPIN-OFF: 'I AM DESTROYED,'" another added.

While the This Is Us series we know and love has concluded, a revival is not too far outside the realm of possibility. "Anyone else feel that the ending was open-ended? I know Dan said no spinoff but I feel like one is coming," a different fan said on Instagram. As it turns out, This Is Us's series creator Dan Fogelman has already pondered the idea.

“I’m pretty set on this being it,” he told TVLine. “Who knows what change of heart my ensuing midlife crisis brings, but I really feel we’ve put these stories to bed now.”

To add fuel to the fire, Dan previously revealed he had pitched the idea of a This Is Us movie to NBC executives, Variety reported. The movie would center around “what would have happened if Jack survived the fire.” He revealed at the show's final panel at the Television Critics Association in February, “The president of NBC is literally texting me right now: ‘Yes to the movie.'”

It's worth noting that the project isn't officially in development but we'll keep stay hopeful. “I say no to nothing,” Dan said. “If we can figure out a movie and can get together with [the cast] again in a few years, I’d love to. I don’t know what it would be because we close out our story in the series finale.”

Meanwhile, the cast seems on board for revisiting This Is Us — everyone from Mandy Moore, Sterling and Justin have voiced their interest. "I am down for a This Is Us movie, I love these cats," Justin admitted to Access Hollywood, referring to his cast members. "I would do a trilogy movie, I really would. I would do a movie every year with these guys."

Fingers crossed more This Is Us stories will be told again in the near future!
