United States Grand Prix: Race start time UK, practice, qualifying results and how can I watch F1 on TV today?

Max Verstappen is on pole ahead of the United States Grand Prix.

It is the Red Bull ace who holds the championship lead as Formula One crosses the Atlantic for the first time since November 2019, with last year’s race at Circuit of the Americas one of many cancelled due to the pandemic.

Valtteri Bottas swooped to a second victory of the campaign in Turkey last time out while Lewis Hamilton finished fifth having taken an engine penalty. It could have been more for the Brit however, as a late decision on pitting in changing conditions cost him a shot at the podium.

Verstappen’s second-place finish there means he has gone three GPs without a win yet holds a six-point lead over his rival.

With just six races left of the 2021 season, one of the most enthralling title fights for years is set for a grandstand finish.

Tempers flared between the championship rivals in the second practice session on Friday, with Verstappen calling Hamilton a “stupid idiot” and brandishing a middle finger in his direction after an intense clash on-track.

An irate Verstappen - who also returned to the pits after becoming frustrated with traffic - was eighth in FP2 after failing to set a representative time, with Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez fastest after Hamilton’s quickest mark was wiped out for exceeding track limits.

Here’s all the information you need to tune in this weekend...
