Unfrosted Trailer: Jerry Seinfeld Battles for Breakfast Supremacy in Netflix’s Pop-Tart Movie — Watch

Jerry Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy and about two dozen other familiar comedic faces are out to revolutionize breakfast in a new trailer for the Netflix movie Unfrosted.

Helmed by Seinfeld in his directorial film debut, Unfrosted tells the (artificially sweetened) story of the breakfast food industry’s equivalent of the Space Race, in which cereal rivals Kellogg’s and Post scramble in 1963 to create a pastry — what we now know as the beloved Pop-Tart — that will change the face of breakfast forever.

The trailer above gives us a tongue-in-cheek look at the shockwaves sent around the country when Post becomes the first company to invent a shelf-stable fruit pastry product. Behold: the power of xanthan gum.

In addition to Seinfeld and McCarthy, Unfrosted‘s star-studded cast includes Jim Gaffigan, Amy Schumer, James Marsden, Hugh Grant, Max Greenfield, Christian Slater, Dan Levy and John Slattery, among many others. Seinfeld also co-wrote the film with Spike Feresten, Andy Robin and Barry Marder.
