People aged 56 to 59 can now book their Covid vaccine online as the Government’s vaccination rollout continues.

The new age bracket has yet to be formally announced by the Government, but the NHS website is welcoming people in this group to book a slot.

In the Government’s accelerated vaccine plan, ministers are aiming for all over-50s to have been offered their jabs by May and every adult in the UK will be offered the jab by July 31.

It comes as more than 21 million people have now been vaccinated with the first dose of a vaccine, while over one million people have received their second dose.
