A small snow storm hit Lexington and other parts of central and eastern Kentucky early Friday morning. Light accumulation was left behind, with more snow hitting the area on Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for areas impacted by the storm until 10 p.m. More snow could fall rapidly Friday afternoon and evening, which could create even more hazardous driving conditions and reduced visibility.
Drivers are encouraged to travel with caution on Friday.
