Curtis Blaydes vs. Derrick Lewis UFC Fight Night main event canceled
The main event at UFC Las Vegas 15 is canceled a day before the scheduled fight, ESPN’s Ariel Helwani first reported. UFC confirmed that the fight was off and being rescheduled due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Curtis Blaydes (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was slated to fight Derrick Lewis (24-7 MMA, 15-5 UFC) in a heavyweight bout at UFC Fight Night on Saturday. It was scheduled to take place at the Apex in Las Vegas, but Blaydes reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday morning and was removed from the main event.

UFC is hoping to reschedule the heavyweight fight for Dec. 12 at UFC 256, per ESPN.
The co-main event will now move into the lead anchor on the card, per ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. It is a light heavyweight bout between Anthony Smith and Devin Clark.

Devin Clark vs. Anthony Smith
Josh Parisian vs. Parker Porter
Miguel Baeza vs. Takashi Sato
Bill Algeo vs. Spike Carlyle
Blaydes is on a four-fight win streak including victories against Junior dos Santos and Alexander Volkov. Lewis has three wins in a row, most recently a knockout against Aleksei Oleinik.
