UFC 270 bonuses: Deiveson Figueiredo, Brandon Moreno among four winners

The first UFC pay-per-view of the year delivered some memorable moments throughout the fight card topped by two title fights.

After UFC 270, the promotion awarded two Performance of the Night bonuses and both competitors in the Fight of the Night walked away with an extra $50,000 in their pocket. Naturally, the trilogy bout between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno earned FOTN honors for their incredible 25-minute war.

'Performance of the Night': Vanessa Demopoulos

On the early preliminary portion of UFC 270, [autotag]Vanessa Demopoulos[/autotag] left quite an impression with her first-round submission victory over Silvana Gomez Juarez. The win did not come easy though, as she had to recover from being hurt from punches in the early moments, leading to the fight going to the canvas. Off her back, Demopoulos remained calm through the storm and slowly started to isolate an arm of her opponent. Moments later, she had the submission locked in to force a tap and earn the first bonus of her UFC tenure.

'Performance of the Night': Said Nurmagomedov

Said Nurmagomedov did not get to spend much time inside the octagon on Saturday evening, but his performance certainly turned heads. Just 47 seconds into his fight with Cody Stamann, Nurmagomedov found a way to put an end to the fight in speedy fashion, by locking in a guillotine choke to get a tap from his opponent. The five-fight UFC veteran leaves Saturday’s pay-per-view event with the first bonus of his run with the promotion.

The co-main event of the evening somehow exceeded the high expectations. In the trilogy bout between [autotag]Deiveson Figueiredo[/autotag] and [autotag]Brandon Moreno[/autotag] kept fans on the edge of their seat for 25 minutes as they struggled to determine who had the upper hand in a fight that was fireworks from start to finish. When it was all said and done, the official judges were unanimous in their decision, awarding Figueiredo the victory with similar scores of 48-47, claiming the flyweight title again. Naturally, the back-and-forth battle earned the Fight of the Night bonus, as Figueiredo picks up a win over his fan-favorite rival.
