UCLA RB catapults over defender for TD after attempted hurdle

Aside from having one of the most amazing names in college football, Bolu Olorunfunmi now has a signature play for you to remember him by.

UCLA’s running back helped put the Bruins up by two touchdowns in the second half by climbing over an Oregon defender at the goal line.

That’s cornerback Tyree Robinson on the coverage. He’s 6-foot-4. Olorunfunmi is 5-foot-10 and 215 pounds. He should not be able to get up that high in football pads. Luckily, Robinson crouches down right as Olorunfunmi goes to jump over him and gives the Bruins’ back the extra boost he needs to get over the goal line. It almost feels wrong to call this a hurdle.

Both teams would likely agree that you don’t want a running back standing on the shoulders of a defender. Thankfully, it led to the most awesome outcome possible.
