UCF alum Gabriel Davis set this NFL record in epic Bills-Chiefs playoff game
Jerry Rice never did it.
Neither did Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Michael Irvin, Art Monk, Fred Biletnikoff, Larry Fitzgerald or the other Hall of Fame or future Hall of Fame wide receivers.
Even Hall of Famer Cris Carter, who former Eagles head coach Buddy Ryan tagged as, “All he does is catch touchdown passes,” didn’t accomplish the feat.
But UCF alum Gabriel Davis did in Sunday’s AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The second-year Buffalo Bills receiver set an NFL playoff record with four touchdown catches in a game.
One of the players Davis exploited en route to his record-setting game, which included eight catches for 201 yards to become the ninth player in NFL playoff history with a 200-plus yard receiving game, was another UCF alumnus, Mike Hughes.
