Tyron Woodley says he’s getting ‘I love Jake Paul’ tattoo this weekend

It appears Tyron Woodley will go through with the Jake Paul tattoo bet.

After Paul outpointed Woodley at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in August, Woodley asked for an immediate rematch on the spot.

YouTube star Paul said if Woodley followed through on their pre-fight bet in which the loser of the bout had to get the opponent’s name tattooed on them, he’d grant him a rematch.

Woodley agreed, but asked to see a contract first before he followed through. Paul wasn’t happy with Woodley altering the rules and shifted his focus to Tommy Fury, who defeated his training partner Anthony Taylor on the same night.

Wanting to be a man of his word, Woodley has decided to get the “I love Jake Paul” tattoo after all and will get it done this weekend – but not with Paul’s artist, “Tatu Baby.”

“Tommy Fury should have never even been in position for the bag,” Woodley said in an Instagram live with Ariel Helwani. “I’m going to just let the week go through and see what happens. I think the most sensible thing to do is run it back. I think I’m getting this tattoo Saturday, by the way. Yeah, I just feel like I should do it because it’s a solid thing to do. I’m going to do it on Saturday.”

Paul and Woodley were paid $2 million each for their eight-round fight and with the former UFC welterweight champion testing Paul’s chin with a big shot in Round 4, he was undoubtedly his sternest test to date. While Paul has diverted his attention to other options, perhaps the sight of his name inked on Woodley’s skin will change his mind.

“I don’t know yet. I’m going to think about it,” Woodley said on the placement of the tattoo. “Not neck, not face. I should have put it across my f*cking knuckles. … To me, it’s like this: If a dude wants to pay me to whip his ass, since he supposedly ‘paid me and promoted the fight,’ then I love you (laughs). Because you’re that dumb.”
