Two Kansas City Chiefs players are leading at their position in Pro Bowl voting

There seems to be little doubt about which tight end is the NFL’s best in the minds of football fans.

That can be seen in Pro Bowl voting, which shows the Chiefs’ Travis Kelce is leading all tight ends with 121,807 votes. That is the second-most votes for any player regardless of position behind Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (126,381).

The NFL released the voting update on Thursday, and Rams receiver Cooper Kupp (120,010 votes), Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (113,980 votes) and Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (111,716 votes) are also in the top five vote-getters.

Only the leading vote-getter at each position was revealed Thursday. Kelce, who was second in receiving yards in the 2020 season, is in the top 10 in a pair of categories this season.

He is tied for seventh in the NFL with 67 receptions and he’s 10th with 821 receiving yards. Both are the most for any tight end.

The only other Chiefs player to be the leading vote-getter at his position is offensive tackle Orlando Brown (41,803 votes).

Some Chiefs fans have made a push for rookie center Creed Humphrey to start in the Pro Bowl. The leading vote-getter at that position is the Patriots’ David Andrews.

Fans can vote on the league’s website or on Twitter through Dec. 16. Here is how to cast a ballot on Twitter, via the NFL: “Fans should tweet the first and last name of the player, the player’s official Twitter handle, or a hashtag including the player’s first and last name. All three of these methods must include the hashtag: #ProBowlVote.”

Fan voting makes up one-third of the player selection for the Pro Bowl. Players and coaches, who will vote Dec. 17, each make up one-third.

Pro Bowl rosters will be announced Dec. 20.
