Twisters spoilers follow.

Twisters does include a flying cow after all, despite its director originally revealing that the sequel would be avoiding a big homage to its predecessor.

The new movie, which is out now in cinemas, follows a new group of storm chasers, and acts as a legacy sequel to the 1996 classic.

One of the biggest talking points in the original movie was a cow caught in a tornado, and even though director Lee Isaac Chung recently revealed that the new film would avoid it, he has admitted that there is a brief image of a flying cow that even he missed.

“It’s the hardest thing to spot. I only spotted it because I noticed some weird marking on a piece of flying debris," he revealed.

"I said, ‘Could you freeze that frame?’ I was looking at frame-by-frame shots when we’re doing VFX reviews, and sure enough, there was a cow on that thing.”

Previously explaining the decision to exclude the Twister trademark, the director admitted that fans would be "disappointed if there was a cow".
