Twilight stars reunite for new movie
Twilight stars Kellan Lutz and Cam Gigandet are reuniting for a new movie, as the pair join the cast of Desert Dawn.
As reported by Deadline, the duo have signed up for Marty Murray’s crime-thriller, which follows a “newly appointed small-town sheriff (Lutz) and his begrudging deputy (Gigandet).”
Whilst investigating the murder of a mysterious woman, the pair get “tangled in a web of lies and corruption involving shady businessmen and the cartel,” leaving themselves in danger as they attempt to put the pieces together.

Chad Law and Johnny Walters have penned the script, with the production being granted an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA to allow filming during the ongoing strikes in Hollywood.
Lutz and Gigandet appeared together in the first Twilight film, with the pair playing Emmett Cullen and the villainous James Witherdale respectively, but the series could have looked a lot different had one famous star secured a part.
“I auditioned for Twilight [and] they turned me down immediately,” revealed Jennifer Lawrence. “I didn't even get a callback. But my life would've been totally different. I got Hunger Games I think, like, a year later.”
Lutz and Gigandet aren’t the only Twilight stars to secure new roles, with Alice Cullen actor Ashley Greene recently joining the cast for horror film, It Feeds.

The film follows a young girl who insists that a malevolent entity is feeding on her, with Greene portraying a clairvoyant therapist who must confront her own personal demons to save the girl before she is taken completely.
It Feeds will be a part of a 10-film slate from Productivity Media Inc (PMI) and Black Fawn Films, with Black Fawn president Cody Calahan saying that the partnership would create a “unique brand of genre films.”
There is currently no release date for Desert Dawn.
