Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday he has “total confidence” in special rapporteur David Johnston after the latter recommended against holding a public inquiry into foreign interference allegations. Speaking about his relationship with Johnston, Trudeau said he saw Johnston “a few times as a kid” and got to know him after becoming an MP.
