The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a lawsuit by CareDx over organ-rejection tests made by Natera and Eurofins Viracor, turning down another request to revisit the contentious issue of patent eligibility. The justices turned away CareDx's appeal of a lower court's ruling that invalidated patents that the Brisbane, California-based company had accused its medical diagnostics rivals of infringing. CareDx sued Austin, Texas-based Natera and Viracor, a Kansas-based subsidiary of Luxembourg's Eurofins Scientific, in 2019, accusing them of infringing patents related to its AlloSure blood test for monitoring kidney transplants.
Victory over Uruguay on Thursday night should be enough to send New Zealand into the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals. After suffering their first-ever defeat in a World Cup pool stage to open the tournament, the All Blacks laid down what they hope will be a marker for the rest of their campaign by thrashing Italy last time out. With a clash against Ireland in the last eight their most likely scenario, New Zealand know that even a big win will struggle to instil the fear in their title rivals that previous All Blacks sides have enjoyed.

It is unusual to find one as powerful and disturbing as Safiya Sinclair’s debut memoir, “How to Say Babylon,” which has already drawn comparisons to Tara Westover’s “Educated” and Mary Karr’s “The Liars’ Club.” Sinclair, an award-winning poet who teaches creative writing at Arizona State University, grew up in extreme poverty in Montego Bay, Jamaica, in the shadow of the luxury hotels that cater to wealthy tourists. Sinclair writes of a chaotic yet magical childhood, moving constantly but always surrounded by lush tropical forests and broad vistas of sea and sky, which later gave her the sounds and imagery of her poems.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said in a statement that the exchange rate would be determined by interbank foreign exchange operations with the "active participation" of the central bank.
