Do you own a 40-Series Toyota Land Cruiser in need of some hard-to-find parts? Well, you're in luck. In celebration of the SUV's 70th anniversary, Toyota announced today that it will begin manufacturing certain brand-new parts for the 40-Series Land Cruiser for those who want to keep their classic off-roaders running like new.

Toyota says it conducted surveys with Land Cruiser dealers, fan clubs, and owners to determine which parts were the hardest to find, and focused the initial batch of offerings on the truck's core functions—driving, turning, and stopping. The automaker hasn't released a full list of parts just yet, but says engine, driveline, and exhaust system parts will be offered. Expect the first run of replacement Land Cruiser parts to arrive starting in early 2022.

If the part you're looking for doesn't end up on the list, don't worry. In an effort to determine how the next batch of parts will be chosen, Toyota has put together a questionnaire form on its website where owners can request specific parts. So theoretically, if enough owners request the same part be reproduced, the company will make it a reality.

This 40-Series parts initiative is the latest program to emerge from Toyota Gazoo Racing's GR Heritage Parts Project, which also offers reproduction parts for the A70 and A80 Supra, as well as the 2000GT. As the market for classic cars continues to boom, we only expect that list of cars to grow.
