Top NC high school football teams roll on, while losses in the middle shuffle rankings

With one week left in the regular season, the top teams in North Carolina continue to impress at all levels, and with some teams vying for conference titles and automatic state tourney berths this weekend, the action should be stellar state-wide.

This week’s biggest move within the Top 10 rankings came in 3A as Northern Nash jumped three positions from seventh to fourth, though it should be noted Eastern Alamance made its 3A poll Top 10 debut at No. 9 after having been rated No. 14 the previous week.

In the largest school category, the top remained the top. Northern Guilford and Richmond did a flip-flop at Nos. 6 and 7, while Glenn debuted at No. 10 and East Forsyth slid up from 10 to 8.

The biggest drop this week came in 1A, where Thomasville tumbled from No. 4 to No. 10 after a loss.
