Tom from MAFS UK apologises to Sophie over argument

Tom Hartley from Married At First Sight UK has apologised to Sophie Brown over their argument which was aired on last night's episode [6 September.]

Well, who knew MAFS UK was going to be so dramatic? Alongside new couples forming, the show has had its fair share of shouting matches - with one contestant in particular often being at the centre of them.

The most recent episode saw Tom come to blows with Sophie, after she suggested that he and husband Adrian Sanderson were potentially in the friend zone. "You wouldn't know that because you've only been here two weeks... don't make me come for you," he retaliated.

"I don't care about 90% of the people here. I only care about Chanita and Jen and you [Kasia]. I don't give a f**k about yous. Yous mean nothing to me!"

Now, Tom has taken to Twitter to explain he had "already left" the show on three occasions before that moment unfolded, adding, "I didn't want to be there. I wanted to go home. I'd just got back from homestays, it's personal stuff going on which they all knew, as I've said before and I did not want to talk to those people," he said.

Apologising to Sophie, he continued, "I own the Sophie thing, it was just heightened too far. I've apologised and we're in a good place now. The language that I used was course and vile and I don't like it and that's me owning my shit, I don't care what anybody else thinks. That's what I think. I made a mistake and I hold my hands up totally."

Kudos to Tom for taking responsibility for his actions.

Married At First Sight UK continues at 9pm on E4.
